Popstar Katy Perry has continued to front the US crisp brand PopChips with a bizarre video featuring cats in wigs.

The ‘Katy and the PopCats’ video, running at over three minutes long, features Perry as a superhero alongside a number of felines in wigs, or a puppet foe named Fat Cat as part of the ongoing ‘PopChips to the Rescue’ campaign.

The campaign was released yesterday to celebrate the brand declaring the 13 June as #popchipstotherescue day.

Michael Parisi, senior vice president of marketing for Popchips, commented: "At popchips, we're committed to bringing the fun back to snacking.

“we are excited to have Katy Perry and her team of Popcats on our side to help spread our message and save one snacker at a time,” he added.
