MPC Creative launches bespoke Cannesappé app for Cannes Lions goers

MPC Creative, MPC Advertising’s production arm, has unveiled an unofficial app offering attendees of this year’s Cannes Lions everything they might need to stay in the know.

Cannesappé has picked the most useful info for the event, and offers detailed street maps, taxi and useful numbers, an event and party calendar and the locations of free Wifi spots.

The iPhone app also functions both on and offline, to prevent data costs creeping up, however when online, users can get up-to-date crowd cluster maps and access a social feed featuring the latest Cannes tweets, pics and video uploads.

Andre Assalino, interactive creative director at MPC Creative said: “The challenge was to create an app we'd genuinely use ourselves. This time, we were our own target audience and there’s no tougher client than yourself.

“Since the festival is right around the corner, we designed and built Cannesappé in two weeks, and it includes all the essential tools to get you through it.”

Cannesappé is now live and available on the App Store.
