Liverpool Post launches e-publication Business Daily

Data journalism will form the centre of a newly launched daily business news e-publication from Trinity Mirror, The Liverpool Post Business Daily, targeted mainly at tablet and smartphone users.

E-publication: The new offering launched on Thursday

The 30-page daily offering launched on Thursday and was developed alongside the Birmingham Post Business Daily which launched a week ago. The tablet edition is on a subscription-based model beginning at £9.99 per month, alongside a separate, more flexible corporate subscription pricing model.

The Liverpool Post print edition will continue its Thursday publications and 'bundle' deals between print and mobile are being developed as the company tries to focus the appeal of the new e-offering.

Editor of the Liverpool Post, Mark Thomas, said: "Our aim is to create a tool for business people that will be so valuable that it will be an essential part of their working day.

"The format allows us to deliver multimedia packages with video, audio, picture galleries and archive material to enhance our stories."

The title will offer statistical analysis for the business audience, as well as a section featuring tender opportunities, planning applications, mergers and acquisitions, insolvency alerts, executive jobs and general business news.

General news and sports will be provided alongside the main business focus.
