Heineken USA has announced Minneapolis-based agency Fast Horse will handle its PR activity for its Newcastle Brown Ale beer brand.

“Newcastle’s refreshingly honest style needs a distinct kind of agency that can give it to consumers straight,” said Charles van Es, senior director of marketing for Heineken USA portfolio brands.

“Fast Horse brings a disruptive approach and bold thinking that will spark conversations around our brand.”

Tasked with leading a strategic PR planning and outreach strategy, Fast Horse will help build momentum for the Newcastle’s ‘No Bollocks’ campaign as well as “generate buzz” around the beer brand’s seasonal activity.

The ‘No bollocks’ campaign was launched in the US last year, with a global push earlier this year, and aimed to offer a no-frills advert for the beer, opting out of the typically elaborate, overly produced ads seen with other beer brands.

Fast Horse currently handles the PR for Coca-Cola with previous clients including Diet Coke, American Red Cross, and Haagen-Dazs.
