Historic Scotland has retained its advertising agency Newhaven for the rest of the year.

Following a tender held last month, Historic Scotland has retained Newhaven to develop and implement the organisation’s campaigns with a contract understood to be worth five figures.

“We went through the usual tender process and Newhaven was appointed. The contract is for ten months to take us through to the end of this financial year,” a spokesperson told The Drum.

The tender process was completed by 31 May, ahead of the new Scottish Minister’s Marketing Services Framework going live, a framework that Newhaven failed to be reappointed to, although Historic Scotland is still a partner organisation.

The Edinburgh-creative agency initially won the contract to work with Historic Scotland in March 2010.
