Danone has appointed sports PR agency Pitch ahead of the Danone Nations Cup, an international football tournament for 10 to 12 year olds.

Tasked with promoting the tournament across the UK, Pitch will work in collaboration with the communications and marketing team at Danone.

“We are pleased to have Pitch on board for the Danone Nations Cup as part of our marketing communications team. The agency brings considerable experience to the table, based on an impressive body of work on leading UK and international sporting events," said Marie De Muizon, head of corporate social responsibility, Danone. "We have been very impressed with the results achieved to date.”

Henry Chappell, chief executive, Pitch added: “The Danone Nations Cup is the biggest schools football tournament in the world, and one of the most successful legacy programmes in sport, having taken place every year since the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. This is the first time the world final has come to the UK, and with Wembley as the ideal venue, I’m sure it will be a great occasion. We’re thrilled to have been appointed by Danone.”
