WPP's Y&R Advertising opens majority owned Myanmar based joint venture with K-Noke Advertising

WPP owned agency Y&R Advertising has opened an Y&R Yangon in Myanmar as joint venture with K-Noke Advertising.

The majority owned-agency will be led by Khin Myat Thu as general manager, John Kyaw Myo Htun as new business development director and director Aung Kyaw Oo and sees WPP continue its strategy of expanding into fast growing economies such as Asia Pacific, Latin America, Africa, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Asia Pacific businesses owned by WPP now generate a total revenue of $5bn, is has claimed, employing 47,000 people.
