Sacked Manchester City boss, Roberto Mancini took out a full page ad the Manchester Evening News in a final farewell to fans.

The personally funded ad came after Mancini was unceremoniously dismissed following Man City’s defeat against Wigan last week, meaning he would miss Man City’s final game against Reading.

The FA Cup, Community Shield and Premier League trophies are all pictured inbetween his message, which reads: “Manchester City Supporters: 3 unforgettable years.

“You will always be in my heart. Ciao. Roberto Mancini.”

The Italian has been popular among Man City fans, however numerous reports in the light of his sacking have suggested he had a turbulent relationship with players and background staff members.
