McCann Birmingham has announced the appointment of Jon Marchant as managing partner.

Marchant will lead a selection of the agency’s key accounts including Chevrolet, E-Lites, Accolade, Cott Beverages and Stanley.

Marchant commented: “After starting my career at McCann Manchester some 15 years ago, I’m excited to be returning to the helm to embrace a very different challenge. I’m looking forward to being part of a big agency network, and playing a key part in shaping the agency over the coming months.”

The appointment comes following the rebrand of McCann’s advertising division to McCann 360, which aims to focus on increased integration.

Existing board directors Paul Dean and June Hall will also take on the roles of managing partners, each spearheading specialist teams; retail; education, recruitment and property; and brand.

McCann Central CEO, Dean Lovett, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Jon to the team. He has an impressive track record, coupled with energy, determination and drive to help develop the agency, and we’re excited to see his ambition in action. I’m confident that together Jon, June and Paul will prove a formidable team ready to take McCann into a new era.”
