Tesco is launching its first TV series exclusively to Clubcard members following a deal with digital entertainment curator FilmBuff.

The nine-part series, called Elite New Face, follows a group of young people in their journey to kick-start their modelling careers.

The series will chart their steps from being contestants in the Elite Model Look contest through to regional castings for the World Final content, with the final winners picked to take part in their first Fashion Week.

Elite New Face will be available exclusively to Tesco's 16 million Clubcard members for free via its new, ad-funded TV service powered by Blinkbox.

The supermarket, which launched the movie and TV service earlier this year, will run a range of genres including comedy, drama, romance and kids TV to Clubcard customers.

Tesco-owned Blinkbox will run targeted advertising to Clubcard members using the service based on their previous shopping habits and purchase history.

The service also includes content from BBC Worldwide, Aardman, Endemol and Warner Bros.

Scott Deutrom, MD of Clubcard TV, said the series will be the “first of many” great exclusives for the Clubcard TV service.

The series has previously aired in the US and features appearances from singers Jessie J and Kylie Minogue.
