Condé Nast has revealed it is to close women’s lifestyle magazine Easy Living with the publication going online-only from July, putting 30 jobs at risk.

“It is a sad decision to have to take, but we see few encouraging signs in this part of the market, with challenges at the newsstand and an increasing reliance in the sector on multi-bagged offerings.

“Easy Living's print edition has a significant loyal fan base and subscriber base whom we will be reluctant to disappoint, and a particularly talented editorial and publishing staff. However, our digital reach far outweighs that of print, and Easy Living is thriving online,” commented managing director of Condé Nast UK, Nicholas Coleridge.

Easy Living, which has been in publication for eight years, is the third magazine to close in recent weeks following Auto Trader and Bauer’s More! magazine.
