Carphone Warehouse has teamed up with Fonejacker, the prank call comedian, to launch a new integrated campaign for the Samsung Galaxy S4.

The BAFTA award-winning telephonist was let loose on the phone retailers flagship Oxford Street store in which he sought to see what lengths patrons would go to in order to get their hands on the new smartphone.

This saw unwitting entrants converse with Fonejacker who played the part of an error-prone automated machine in an attempt to complete a quiz to win a device.

The comedic and unscripted results were then caught on hidden camera.

Julian Diment, Marketing Director at Carphone Warehouse, says, “We weren’t sure what to expect when we gave Fonejacker free run of our flagship store, but the results are brilliant. There’s always huge anticipation around major handset launches like the Samsung Galaxy S4. We wanted to have some fun this time round and do something exciting for our customers that they wouldn’t expect.”
