Facebook has revealed that almost a third (30 per cent) of its advertising revenue made during the first quarter of 2013 came through mobile as it announced a profit of $219m.

The social networking giant announced that it made around $125bn through advertising revenue during the first quarter of the year ending in March, and within that had seen a rise in mobile advertising sales.

Facebook also revealed a rise to 751m users through mobile, with a total of 1.11bn monthly active users, a 23 per cent increase on the same period in 2012, of which 665m are daily users.
