Car rental brand Alamo appoints Quantcast for real-time advertising campaign

Global car rental brand Alamo Rent A Car has tasked Quantcast with launching a real-time advertising campaign as part of its wider strategy to increase rentals in European, Middle East and African markets.

The company is the largest car rental provider to international visitors to the US, and as such the campaign will primarily target EMEA consumers looking to travel to the country.

The campaign forms part of the brand's plans to maximise return on advertising spend for 2013, which include greater emphasis on targeted direct response campaigns.

Stefano Biondi, Alamo’s marketing director for EMEA, said: "A key challenge for us was to drive a higher volume of sales, as well as a higher value per sale, but within a defined cost per acquisition limit. Real-time ad targeting has been something we’ve looked at for a while and then we saw how successful Quantcast had proven to be for others looking to achieve this type of return."
