Mel Greig, one of the two Australian DJ’s implicated in the suicide of nurse Jacintha Saldanha after she transferred a prank phone call at the hospital which was treating the Duchess of Cambridge, is set to appear at the inquest of her death.

Greig, alongside her 2Day FM colleague Michael Christian, made the hoax call to King Edward VII Hospital where they pretended to be the Queen and Prince Charles in a bid to obtain some information on the Duchess who was being treated for morning sickness.

Saldanha was understood to have been the nurse who answered the phone to the pair. It has been reported that the note left by Saldanha before her suicide blamed the two DJs.

A statement released by a spokesperson for Greig, explained: "Ms Greig wants the family to know she will answer any questions the coroner or the family’s lawyers may have at the inquest."

Christian has since returned to work presenting a programme on 2Day FM, while Greig has yet to do so.

The pair both gave tearful interviews following Saldanha's death expressing their remorse.
