The UK digital jobs demand took a slightly different twist this week when the National Library of Scotland posted a job advert for the country's first 'Wikimedian in Residence'.

Digital: The job advert is for a 'Wikimedian in Residence'

The role, in conjunction with Wikimedia UK, will involve using the library's collection to update Wikipedia pages with the help of its 25,000 newspaper and magazine titles, 15 million printed items and 100,000 manuscripts.

Digital access manager, Gill Hamilton, told the BBC: "We have these amazing collections and out staff know an amazing amount of stuff, so it's trying to extract that information and use it to enrich what is there."

The £30,000 pro-rata role is being offered on a four-month fixed-term contract.
