ITV appoints Steve November as head of drama

ITV has announced a key appointment for its drama division with Steve November set to replace Laura Mackie on the role of director of drama following her departure at the end of June.

This will formalise a sole November has held since January when both Mackie and the broadcasters controller of drama commissioning both announced their intention to quit, leading to November being made acting director of drama.

Previously November had served as head of continuing since 2008, overseeing shows including Law and Order, DCI Banks, Whitechapel, Foyle's War and Life of Crime.

It culminates a 13 year career at the network for November, who worked his way up from his first job as a story editor on Emmerdale.
