Retailing leviathan Tesco has named LivingSocial as its latest Clubcard partner, a pairing which will enable consumers to earn one point for every pound spent on experiences, products and services from the experiential ideas platform.

This follows a pilot scheme in Sheffield last year which allowed Clubcard holders to purchase £15 worth of LivingSocial Deal Pounds for just £7.50, encouraging shoppers to rediscover their local area.

Peter Briffett, managing director of LivingSocial UK and Ireland, said: “LivingSocial is committed to sourcing and providing exciting activities across the UK, and is delighted to be partnering with Tesco to help customers collect Clubcard points whilst having fun through LivingSocial offers. As the premier loyalty scheme in the UK, with a strong commitment to supporting local enterprise, Tesco Clubcard is a perfect partner for us. "

Katie McQuaid, Clubcard director, Tesco added: “We are always looking at ways we can offer our members new ways to collect Clubcard points and we’re delighted to announce LivingSocial as our latest points partner. We think our members will love the opportunity to collect Clubcard points while enjoying experiences in their local area.”
