McDonald’s has mounted a new campaign to remind people of its most iconic breakfast item, the Sausage and Egg McMuffin.

Created by Leo Burnett, the TV ad features the epic journey one man and his dog make from the Scottish highlands all in the name of a Sausage and Egg McMuffin. Led by Adam Tucker and written by Phil Deacon and Sabina Kelly with Pete Riski of Rattling Stick directing, the ad aims to highlight how a McDonald’s breakfast is truly worthy of the trip and is summed up by the endline ‘worth getting up early for’.

The TV creative will be supported by a national press and radio campaign which also carries the message of worth getting up early for. The press activity heroes the Sausage and Egg McMuffin with the line ‘The rest of the day has a lot to live up to’.
