Ambitious agency owners are set to gather in London next month to attend MiNetwork's Agency Leadership Assembly – a one day conference during which all areas of agency leadership, management and growth will be explored by a range of marketing agency business experts and former and current agency owners.

The Agency Leadership Assembly, supported by Grant Thornton and Synergist, has been launched to offer ambitious agency owners eager to grow their businesses the opportunity to take one day out of their business to really think about the future of their business and how they can build the most valuable marketing business possible.

The full day conference kicks off at 9am with keynote speaker, Jonathan Trimble, founder and CEO of 18 Feet & Rising, who will speak about their agency journey so far, which has seen them quickly rise to become part of the London agency establishment with clients such as Curpinol, Nandos, Kopparberg and the National Trust and also expand their business into the southern hemisphere.

There is also an early morning breakfast session at 8am at which former procurement and sales director for a number of blue chip clients such as ICI, Christopher Barrat, will give a workshop on how agency owners can network more effectively and make sure they make the biggest impact in any room.

Sessions scheduled during the day will include:

How To Maximise Agency Profit Margins

How To Manage & Structure Agency Growth

How To Recruit & Retain Brilliant People for Your Agency

How To Win More Business By Understanding Your Clients Better

How To Win Business from Everyone You Meet

How To Raise Finance for Agency Growth

How To Take Your Agency International

How To Prepare Your Agency for Sale

Agency business experts signed up to offer their insights in the above areas include former DDB Worldwide VP Noel Penrose, Jim Brigden of iProspect, Miles Welch of Results International, Roger Philby of The Chemistry Group, Robin Grant of We Are Social and Alex Myers of Manifest London amongst others.

Nick Lane of conference sponsor Synergist said: "It’s rare for agency leaders to get together and discuss crucial issues like these. Ambitious leaders of independent agencies are smart, creative and hard working, but they also look to learn from others wrestling with the same issues. What works and what doesn’t? What tools are out there that can really make a difference? How can margins be managed, risks reduced and opportunities seized? These are big questions, and the rewards for getting them right are great. We currently work with over 350 of the UK’s leading agencies, helping them answer these questions and reap the rewards. We look forward to meeting agency owners on the day and to swapping ideas and experiences.”

Speaking of the conference Richard Draycott, managing director of MiNetwork, said: “Over the last 12 months MiNetwork has hosted some 30 events specifically for agency owners across the UK who are keen to learn new ways of tackling many of the challenges agency owners face. The Agency Leadership Assembly promises to offer agency owners the chance to get some fresh perspectives and insights from agency experts that they can take back to their agency and put into practice to build a better business. This will not be just another talking shop, but a genuine opportunity to learn new ways of managing and leading an agency business from people who have done it very successfully in the past and are still doing it today. It will also be a great opportunity for a room full of agency owners to network, build relationships with and learn from like-minded agency owners."

The Assembly is being held at the Finsbury Square offices of Grant Thornton in London and experts in the fields of raising finance, tax and law will be on hand for agency owners to speak face to face with during the day for advice on any issues they are facing or expect to face in the year ahead.

An Early Bird rate of £300 is available until 30 April, while tickets for MiNetwork members are priced at £250.
