McCann Worldgroup announces leadership changes

McCann Worldgroup has today announced the promotion of Chris Macdonald from chief executive at McCann London to president of McCann Erickson New York.

The agency also announced today the co-ECDs of McCann London, Rob Doubal and Laurence Thomson, have been promoted to the new role of co-presidents and chief creative officers of the London office.

Doubal and Thomson, who joined from Wieden + Kennedy in May 2012, will provide creative leadership and vision for the agency in their new roles.

Macdonald said: “Although it will be tough leaving my team in London, I’m looking forward to continuing the next phase of my career at McCann in New York. Since Rob and Lol joined nearly one year ago, they’ve brought a sea change of positive momentum to the agency. In their new roles, Rob and Lol will drive this positive momentum to bring further growth and creative reputation for the agency.”

McCann Worldgroup also announced several additional leadership changes, with Michael Mclaren, Andy Jacobs, Hank Summy and Kevin McNulty all being promoted.
