Facebook announces new mobile updates
Facebook has today announced an update to its app for iPhone and iPad which introduces new functionality to private messages.
Amongst the changes is a new multi-tasking function called Chat Heads feature which allows users to continue to natter even when doing other stuff on the social network. It will also see the launch of Stickers, a library of images which people can draw upon to better express themselves.
Facebook’s News Feed function will also be given a sparkly new look, a bid to make articles brighter and more attractive – particularly when viewed on an iPad.
Last but not least owners of compatible devices will be able to download Home from the Google Play store later today, giving people their first taste of Facebook’s latest mobile drive.
