Brands increase Facebook response rate by 100% in 3 Quarters

Research from Socialbakers has found that 60 per cent of questions put to brands on Facebook are now being answered, up from 55 per cent in Q4 of 2012.

The research, looking at figures for Q1 of 2013, also found that the overall rate of response has grown 100 per cent over the past three quarters, with only 30 per cent of questions receiving responses in Q2 of 2012.

Finance is the leading industry when it comes to responding to user questions on Facebook, with a dominating 79.9 per cent response rate, while airlines came second (77.8 per cent) and telecoms came third (71.6 per cent).

Alcohol ranked bottom of the list, with a 34.2 per cent: although this was up from the 4.9 per cent the industry stood at in Q2 of 2012.
