Following on from the release of a video seeding campaign with The 7th Chamber KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has unveiled its bespoke website for the ‘Claim your place in space’ initiative, created by RAPP together with DDB & Tribal Amsterdam.

The campaign sees members of the public asked to predict where a high-altitude balloon will pop when launched from the Nevada desert, with the best prediction winning a ticket to space.

RAPP/DDB & Tribal Amsterdam created the interactive site which explains the challenge and invited aspiring astronauts to predict where the balloon will pop between 10 April and 22 April. After making their predictions participants can increase their chances by asking friends to endorse them, resulting in a bigger place, in return, friends can also join in with the challenge.

During the balloon’s journey on 22 April the website will track it live providing real time information on the balloon’s exact location.

RAPP/DDB & Tribal Amsterdam also created separate versions of the site to run on tablet and mobile devices, digital production for the sites was handled by MediaMonks.
