MyVoucherCodes begins to offer exclusive discounts to Facebook fans

MyVoucherCodes has announced the launch of a native social media product, offering exclusive discounts to its Facebook fans, with the first discount being a 20 per cent off a £25 spend offer with M&S Outlet.

Each Facebook Fan Exclusive will run for a week, from Monday-Sunday, with a gateway page for non-fans saying what discount is on offer and how to take part.

The campaign was designed by social marketing activation platform EngageSciences, who are also working on the viral mechanics behind the discount.

Mark Pearson, founder of MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, said: “Social media is an area many businesses struggle to monetise, even with relatively large audiences. We regularly promote our discounts via the more popular social networks and since starting, we’ve noticed that fans and followers are particularly receptive. Social commerce has, very quickly, become a good revenue stream for us; however, we want to go one step further and offer our fans something especially for them.

“Engagement is a term often bandied about with regards to social media, but with our new Facebook Fan Exclusive, we’re offering real engagement around our core product and the ability to analyse what’s successful and what could be improved. Incentivising people to join our social network communities by offering them deals they quite literally won’t find anywhere else seems an obvious thing to do. As with our mobile app for iOS and Android, which we recently added a restaurant booking feature to, we’re constantly looking to innovate to improve our offer for both consumers and brands and ensure we stay number one.”

The voucher code company has 200,000 Facebook fans.
