Glasgow 2014 appoints NVT Group for £2m IT service contract

Glasgow 2014 has announced the appointment of NVT Group to handle its IT consulting, software development, Internet and support for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The contract will see NVT Group provide an end-to-end turnkey service in the establishment and operation of a variety of technology solutions and systems required for the Games.

The contract is worth £2m and is set to last for 26 months.

Updated: Michael Cavanagh, chairman of Commonwealth Games Scotland, said: “A high-performing technology platform is incredibly important to both athletes and officials and has a key role in ensuring they can maximise their achievement during the Commonwealth Games.

“We are delighted to see NVT Group come on board and look forward to the knowledge and experience they bring playing an important part in delivering an athlete centred and sports focused Games.”
