Jam has today announced the appointment of Peter Bäck as chief technology officer, and Joel Jo Han Lim and Daniel Evans as associate creative directors.

In his new role Bäck, previously technical director at VML, will work with a team of creatives, designers and developers in the newly formed JamLab.

He said: "I am impressed and attracted to the vision for the agency in combining cutting-edge technology with creative digital marketing. I've long had an ambition to return to my roots in the innovative technology start-up space but have been reluctant at the thought of leaving digital creativity behind, at Jam I find the best of both worlds.”

Wayne Deakin, executive creative director at Jam also announced the appointments of Joel Jo Han Lim, formerly of Weapon7, and Daniel Evans, formerly of Buzzman and creator of the Hello You Creatives blog.

Deakin said: "We grew our business a lot last year while maintaining a near-perfect pitch rate. Now’s the time to bring in new talent and shift our ideas out of the pipeline and into the world.”

The duo will report to creative director Chris de Abreu and work across all Jam’s clients including Samsung, Microsoft and Sky.
