Specific Media appoints Gavin Johnson as head of UK sales

Specific Media has named Gavin Johnson as its new head of UK sales, responsible for developing and growing Specific Media’s bespoke advertiser solutions throughout the UK.

Johnson’s main focus will be to accelerate the growth of the agency’s video offering – Specific Video – as well as broadening the success of its Householding product, as Specific Media aims to provide new ways to reach the multi-screen consumer.

“I am delighted to be joining such a well renowned sales team at a time when their bespoke advertiser solution offering is expanding. I'm looking forward to building the momentum of these exciting new products as they continue to roll out to market,” said Johnson.

Prior to joining Specific Media he held the role of founder and managing director of ideas platform for media agencies and publishers Nutshell. Before launching Nutshell he was account group leader at IDS, Virgin Media working across multiple platforms including TV, VOD, online and sponsorship.

Paul Oronoz, Specific Media UK country manager, added: “We are really pleased to welcome Gavin to the team and are looking forward to what his creativity, media knowledge and leadership will bring to our business.
