Omnicom Group has announced two senior appointments to its Diversified Agency Services (DAS) division, with current president and CEO of DAS Dale A. Adams becoming chairman and CEO and John C. Doolittle, the division's CFO, becoming president and CFO.

CEO and president of Omnicom Group John D. Wren announced the appointments stating: “Dale and John have been working together for 14 years now and have been a driving force within DAS. They are highly talented executives who individually and together have clearly demonstrated the ability to manage a rich mix of agencies in a variety of disciplines.

“In an increasingly complex marketing and communications environment, Dale and John know how to attract and retain talent and help our agencies adapt, grow and deliver for the benefit of our clients. With this strong leadership team in place, I could not be more confident about the continuing success of DAS.”

Adams has been with Omnicom Group since 1991 and has held a number of roles with the group, notably being made CFO of DAS in 1996 and then president of the division in 2008. It was in 2011 he was made CEO of DAS. Doolittle joined DAS in 1999 as CFO after spending a decade in financial leadership in the agency service business.

Adams commented: “In John's time here at DAS, and in my time working with him, John has demonstrated an extraordinary understanding of the professional services business and knows that talent and client service are at its core. Through experience, and by his very nature, John has an uncommon ability to bring our people and our agencies together to collaborate for the benefit of our clients.”

Doolittle said that it was “a privilege to take on this role” adding: “"I believe strongly that the entrepreneurial spirit here at DAS is a strategic advantage for our clients and for our company and I am eager to continue advancing that aspect of our culture. This position brings great responsibility, as well as opportunity. I look forward to continuing my work with our agencies to support them as they develop the resources, tools and talent to help our clients tap their full marketplace potential."
