There’s a definite end-of-term vibe around today, so we’ve decided to help you take some time out and check out some of the best Easter campaigns we’ve seen this year.
It is, of course, research for you and therefore a fully valid use of time before the long weekend.
If you think of any campaigns we’ve missed, please let us know in the comments.
We’ll be taking a look at some campaigns by agencies tomorrow.
Tesco
Remember taking part in Easter Egg hunts as a kid (or still doing it now, we don’t judge)? Tesco has put it on a larger scale than a back garden or local park with its
#FindtheEggs hunt using Google Street View, with prizes from chocolate to tablet computers to win.
Happy Egg Co
From hunting eggs to watching eggs turn into cute little fluffy chicks. The Happy Egg Co, which created a ‘pancake-o-matic’ for Shrove Tuesday, is airing a live chick hatching experience streamed online using Google+ Hangouts and YouTube.
Jewel bar
You may have seen the Crème Egg brownies doing the recipe-rounds, but how about this: one Piccadilly Circus based bar has created a cocktail from the seasonal treat.Created by mixologist Jack Williams, the mojito contains a whopping 987 calories (about the same as 5.5 Crème Eggs), the cocktail includes rum and chocolate liqueur.
Channel 4 and Windfall Films
Channel 4 and Windfall Films, working with Numiko, is taking a look at what happens inside the shells of other eggs - from the penguin to the praying mantis. The website is
now live and will be used to build up to two 60-minute live shows on Channel 4 this Easter weekend – March 31 and April 1.
Asda
Last Saturday Asda invited shoppers to take part
in an Easter Egg hunt around 400 stores, using Blippar. When special egg POS were ‘blipped’, secret letters were revealed, which joined together to form a password, and win a prize.
