Debenhams has announced the appointment of Ross Clemmow as divisional trading director of e-commerce, with Clemmow set to take his new role in June.

Clemmow, who has been in charge of the e-commerce at Argos since 2011, replaces Simon Forster, who left Debenhams at the end of last year to join Selfridges.

CEO Michael Sharp said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Ross Clemmow as divisional trading director [for] e-commerce.

“Ross joins us from Argos where he has held the position of director of e-commerce and multichannel strategy and brings a wealth of e-commerce experience to Debenhams.”

Clemmow will be looking to push Debenhams’ multichannel strategy forward.
