SPORTFIVE, the sport marketing agency, has donated advertising space during tonights San Marino vs England World Cup qualifier on ITV to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity in memory of an Omnicom Media Group employee.

SPORTSFIVE collaborated closely with the individual, who received cancer care from the charity, before they sadly passed away earlier this year.

The prime time spot will be viewed by an estimated 8m people and should raise awareness and donations to the organisation.

SPORTFIVE International CEO Shaila-Ann Rao commented: “We are absolutely delighted to support such a worthy cause and hope that The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity benefits from this prime exposure during the match to raise public awareness about the outstanding work which is being done. Fundraising is crucial to ensure future development and we hope that fans across the country will be encouraged to reach out and make donations during and after the match.”

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity director of marketing and communications added: “This is a great opportunity for us. For The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to be seen on this platform allows us to raise awareness of our pioneering work that revolutionises the way cancer patients are treated across.”
