Essence has announced the appointment of Erfan Djazmi as head of mobile for EMEA, as the agency looks to expand its mobile offering.

Djazmi will be responsible for expanding the existing mobile capability across EMEA in order to offer clients a fully integrated service.

He said: “Essence has clearly recognised that mobile is the future and its recent acquisition demonstrates its commitment to developing expertise in this discipline. The whole agency has the talent and capability to really drive the standard of mobile advertising forwards, not just for our clients but for the wider industry. I’m looking forward to working with the global team to deliver award-winning mobile campaigns and raise the game for everyone working in this field.”

Djazmi joins Essence from Mediacom Sydney where he was director of planning and Investment, leading mobile across the agency and Proctor & Gamble’s digital account.

Matt Isaacs, CEO at Essence, added: “Mobile is a huge growth area for the digital industry and Essence is in a position to be leading the market in this field. Erfan will play a key role in this development and will undoubtedly lead innovation in our mobile expertise to better service our new and existing clients in this exciting space.”
