Wandsworth Borough Council has announced the appointment of Wildstone to develop its outdoor advertising sites following a competitive pitch.

The two year contract will also include managing existing advertising contracts, including Wandsworth’s premium advertising location at the Wandsworth roundabout.

Wandsworth’s cabinet member for finance and corporate resources, Cllr Guy Senior, said: “Here in Wandsworth we pride ourselves on offering our residents the highest quality services at the best value for money prices. Our average Council Tax bills are the lowest in the country and have been for the past 20 years. It is by working imaginatively with partners in the private sector and by adopting a common sense and business-like approach to the use of our resources that we have been able to deliver these successes. Working with Wildstone to find appropriate sites for advertising and maximise our income from these new opportunities is a good example of this approach.”

The contract will begin this month and see the agency try to maximise revenue through prime digital advertising sites.

Damian Cox, founding partner and CEO at Wildstone, adds: “Increasingly, local authorities are seeing the value in outdoor advertising to increase their revenues. Our passion for design and architecture, added to our knowledge of what media owners and advertisers are looking for, translates to highly desirable sites that match the look and feel of the borough whilst bringing much needed income to the area. Now is a prime time for Wandsworth to bring new digital outdoor advertising sites to market as demand outstrips supply and we are excited to be working with the council to maximise this opportunity.”
