London and New York-based digital media agency 7thingsmedia has revealed it has purchased a 35.75 per cent stake in fashion media marketplace Fashion Traffic.

The technology platform enables e-commerce brands and retailers to sell through fashion-focused publishers on websites, blogs and social media, currently the Tel Aviv-based company works with over 200 brands including the likes of Neiman Marcus and Forever21.

Founder and CEO of 7thingsmedia Chris Bishop will lead the board with Fashion Traffic continuing on as a standalone company with strategic investment and direction from the agency.

“An agency that sits and serves is an agency going nowhere. This is the first strategic investment for 7thingsmedia to extend our portfolio of marketing services. We will lead Fashion Traffic to offer a unique fashion marketplace enabling media convergence across the various digital channels in an efficient and transparent way – synergetic to 7thingsmedia’s media viewpoint,” commented Bishop.

7thingsmedia is now working with the team in Tel Aviv to reposition Fashion Traffic from a purely affiliate-side proposition to a fully integrated digital media platform working across affiliates, display, lead generation, mobile, PPC, SEO and social media.

Hanan Maayan, CEO of Fashion Traffic, added: “We are delighted to have 7thingsmedia’s strategic involvement, as this deal will accelerate the expansion of Fashion Traffic in the UK, US and Worldwide. We are looking forward to transitioning from purely an affiliate-side proposition to a fully integrated digital media platform.”
