Smartphone is gearing up to launch its much hyped Galaxy S4 smartphone at a launch event in New York today.

Samsung will be hoping to build on the runaway success of its immediate predecessor, the S3, which have sold more than 40m units to seriously challenge Apple’s smartphone dominance.

Amongst the new features expected to be tucked under the phones bonnet is software which tracks where users are looking and scrolls down the page as its read alongside the obligatory boost to processor and camera.

Whilst Samsung’s success in the smartphone sector seems assured analysts remain to be convinced that this success can be transferred to other devices such as tablets. To address this Samsung is expected to implement greater customisation of the Android software it runs, differentiating itself from a plethora of identikit competitors on the market.

A massive advertising campaign from the South Korean tech giant has been launched to accompany the launch featuring a small boy tasked with guarding a ‘top secret’ box.
