A partnership has been struck by The Drum and digital business consultancy Atmosphere to provide access to training for business leaders through a series of workshops beginning in April with events in London, Manchester and Glasgow.

Partners: The Drum and Atmosphere will provide training workshops

The first one-day workshop - digital for business leaders - takes place on 18 April at SocietyM in London, offering a jargon-free, comprehensive exploration of the impact of digital on marketing and business. The event will look at search, social and mobile media channels and define the differences between paid, owned and earned media among a range of issues.

Jon Bains, partner at Atmosphere, commented: "We spent some time looking for an ideal partner who shares our vision of enlightenment and sense of humour. Together we crafted this inaugural series of workshops. It’s an exciting venture that leverages our collective knowledge of business, digital and marketing."

The digital for business leaders workshop will travel to The Sharp Project in Manchester on 24 April and SocietyM in Glasgow on 25 April. Further events are scheduled throughout the summer.

"It’s not death by PowerPoint, these are practical workshops that explore real business issues and scenarios," Bains continued. "Our aim is to empower business leaders with the knowledge and skill sets that they will need to plan more effectively, manage digital internally and get the most out of their agency."

Director of The Drum, Nick Creed, added: "The Drum’s partnership with Atmosphere opens up a great opportunity for our audience to tap into high quality workshops and courses across the UK. The team at Atmosphere have a fantastic reputation to deliver engaging sessions for business leaders and managers and we are very happy to be recommending these to our readers."
