Transitions Optical named as sponsor of ITV’s travel-based factual programming

It has been revealed that Transitions Optical is to become the sponsor of ITV’s upcoming travel-based factual programming.

The deal was negotiated by ITV Commercial and KR MediaCom on behalf of Transitions Optical, with the idents to be produced by BETC.

Ryan Gardiner, sponsorship sales manager at ITV, said: “We are very excited to welcome Transitions Lenses to the ITV family with their first ITV sponsorship. We believe our travel factual package is a great brand fit for the company and look forward to working with them to make the partnership a success.”

The travel-based factual programmes will see celebrities and presenters explore the culture, history and people in different regions, and will include James Nesbitt’s Ireland, Rory Bremner’s Great British Views, Robson Green’s Northumberland, The Dales and Harbour Lives.

Mylène de Saint Pierre, brand marketing director for Transitions Optical EME, said: “This programme sponsorship offers great brand exposure in a high quality environment for Transitions lenses, which will help to further grow brand awareness and image amongst both consumers and opticians in the UK.”
