MySingleFriend offers chance to ‘sell’ your single friend on national TV with new ad campaign

Dating website MySingleFriend.com is allowing a member of the public to take to the airwaves and publically advertise their single friend in a national television ad.

“Why not give someone the chance to help their single friend out on national TV? It’s what the website does anyway, so why not extend that and make it the experience of a lifetime for one lucky person. You never know, their friend could find the love of their life.

“Nobody has ever ‘advertised’ a single friend on television before, so it’s pretty exciting that we’ve had such a huge response on Facebook and Twitter. We’re organising casting for the entrants this week, in which the person with the best sales pitch for their friend will be given a shot to do it on TV,” commented MySingleFriend founder Sarah Beeny who set up the site in 2005.

The campaign is described as an extension of the brand’s unique approach to dating, where profiles are writer by the member’s friends or as Beeny describes them “a virtual wing man”.

Beeny adds: “By allowing someone to tell the world how great their mate is on national TV, we’re just extending what happens for thousands of people every day on the MySingleFriend site and making it an experience of a lifetime.”
