The CIPR International group has today announced the appointment of Eva Maclaine as group chair.

Previously group secretary, Maclaine will replace Matthew Francis as chair and will lead the Group and Committee over the next year.

She said: “This is a great time to be taking the helm of such an important CIPR group. CIPR International is perhaps the one group which cuts across all our disciplines. So, whether you work in corporate, financial, public affairs, internal or stakeholder PR, it can have relevance for you, as also been fully recognised by the CIPR.

“We have quite a large membership, with almost 1000 members, but they are dispersed throughout the world. The focus for us this year will be to communicate better with them, to listen to what they want, and to give them a really great offer which transcends global boundaries.”
