The original movie and series production arm of Amazon.com, Amazon Studios, has revealed that it is greenlighting another text pilot, this time for the production of an original children’s series entitled ‘Sara Solves It’.

The announcement takes the current number of pilots underway by Amazon Studios to 12. Once completed this pilots will be posted on LOVEFiLM UK and LOVEFiLM Germany as well as Prime Instant Video and Amazon Instant Video for customers to watch for free. Customer feedback will then help determine which series Amazon Studios produces.

Sara Solves It is created by Carol Greenwald (Curious George) and Angela Santomero (Blue’s Clues, Super Why! and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood), and follows brother and sister duo Sara and Sam on relatable mysteries that spring from the questions young children encounter in their day-to-day lives. Each mystery is an interactive maths-based puzzle that the viewer is encouraged to solve along with the characters.

Of the pilot Greenwald, co-creator and executive producer of Sara Solves It, said: “We are excited to be part of Amazon Studios’ innovative approach of getting high-quality programming directly into the hands of parents and children.”

Santomero added: “Our math show, Sara Solves It, will challenge and entertain kids while helping build their enthusiasm for a subject that's critical to their success in school.”
