An infographic illustrating how Google makes its money from mobile has been published by Wordstream, the search marketing firm.

How Google Makes Money From Mobile researches Google’s top 20 mobile product offerings in the categories of mobile advertising, mobile devices, mobile content and mobile apps to give an overview of the tech giants mobile product strategy.

Grades are awarded to each of these ranging from a C+ for Google Play Books, described as ‘nothing revolutionary’ to the A+ Google Maps as ‘Google seems to understand that Maps is THE key aspect of mobile that holds supreme value.’

Other Google ‘killer apps’ include YouTube for which ‘nothing else even comes close’ and Android which is described as an ‘awesome and fast experience for demanding mobile users’.

One aspect of Google’s empire which remains up for debate is Google Glass, a sci-fi style set augmented reality glecs which are being closely watched.
