Merlin Entertainments’ The Blackpool Tower has appointed Leeds based Finn PR following a five way pitch.
Sarah Lundy, marketing manager for Merlin’s Blackpool cluster, commented: “Finn’s appointment brings the fresh approach to our communications programme that we were looking for. The agency’s commerciality and highly strategic campaign proposal was something we hadn’t seen before. We’re excited by the upcoming programme of activity Finn is going to deliver for us, which has been developed with the sole purpose of achieving more ticket sales.”
Finn has been appointed on a retained basis, with key spikes of PR activity to coincide with seasonal dates for the resort and the attractions.
The agency will be involved with media relations, influencer relations and social media maximisation for attractions at the Tower, such as The Blackpool Tower Eye and 4D cinema experience, The Blackpool Tower Circus, The Blackpool Tower Ballroom and the Blackpool Tower Dungeon.
