Savills Marketing, Commercialisation and Research (SMCR) has worked with Manchester-based web design and development agency BLISS to create a series of Facebook applications for a portfolio of leisure schemes it manages.

“The Facebook apps are great – they’ve reactivated interactivity and driven new likes to the pages – it’s also achieving some good data capture. It’s a great start and something we’ll certainly build on,” commented Claire Johnson of SMCR.

Currently managing the market for a series of retail and leisure schemes across the UK and Ireland, SMCR has already seen benefits from the app, particularly its involvement in the recent launch event at Westgate Leisure.

BLISS MD Jon Stutfield, added: “We have built a central application that all the schemes in the portfolio can use on their individual facebook pages.

“At the moment it’s a simple competition mechanic that can be refreshed and updated regularly to reflect different offers and seasonality but we hope to increase the functionality of the app as it proves to be successful.”
