Manchester-based full service digital marketing agency Bite Digital has announced the takeover of Losource’s Magento team for an undisclosed sum.

As specialists on the Magento e-commerce platform the team at Losource will add to Bite Digital’s existing development team bringing the headcount up to over 20 and marking further expansion for the agency following the previous acquisition of eAZeMedia.

Losource will remain to be headed up by Rob Blake from its offices in Heben Bridge.

Commenting on the acquisition, Bite Digital managing director, Jason Cozens, said: “For the last 15 years, we’ve developed all of our web solutions with our Microsoft.net development team.

“With the growth in popularity and associated benefits of open source software, in particular Magento, it was a strategic decision to bring the skills of our Magento partner -Losource - in-house and focus our capabilities.”

Along with Blake the deal sees a four strong team of developers experienced in Magento community and enterprise editions, as well as complex integration with Enterprise Resource Planning [ERP] systems join Bite Digital.
