Telegraph Media Group appoints Christopher Thorogood as chief digital officer

The Telegraph Media Group has today announced the appointment of Christopher Thorogood to the newly created chief digital officer role, with a start date to be announced in due time.

Joining from Global Radio, where he has been director of digital since 2011, Thorogood said: “TMG has a strong brand and some fantastic digital products. I am hugely looking forward to joining TMG and leading their digital operation to the next stage.”

In the role of chief digital officer, he will report directly to chief executive Murdoch MacLennan and will lead TMG's digital operations to ensure the business realises its full digital potential.

MacLennan said: “I am delighted that Christopher will be joining TMG. He has had a wide variety of experience in launching and growing digital businesses and will be a welcome addition to TMG’s executive management team.”
