Samsung’s Kwon Oh-Hyun named the best brand builder ahead of Apple's Tim Cook

Samsung CEO, Dr Kwon Oh-Hyun, has been named as the best global brand builder after adding over £13 billion to the tech giant’s value, according to the BrandFinance Global 500.

In second place was Tim Cook from rival Apple, who has thus far put £11 billion onto the brand’s total value.

Amazon’s Jeff Bezos was named the third most successful after taking the brand’s value from £18 billion to £23 billion.

In fourth place was Peter Vozer from Shell who added just over £4 billion to the brand’s value followed by Jiang Chaoliang from the Agricultural Bank of China who has been responsible for almost £3.9 billion increase.

The biggest brand value failures were also named, including Meg Whitman at HP (£3.6 fall), Michael Dell at Dell (£3.5 billion fall), Stuart Gulliver at HSBC (£3 billion fall), Mark Parker at Nike (£2.3 billion fall) and Cesar Alierta at Movistar (£2.1 billion fall).
