The Lynx Apollo campaign is set to be brought to Westfield with CBS Outdoor UK, 34ft astronaut suspended in The Atrium, as well as 100 digital screens around the shopping centre.
The campaign, planned by Mindshare and bought by Kinetic, invites Westfield shoppers to have their photo taken in the centre or submit images online to be superimposed onto the face of the astronaut as well as onto CBS Outdoor UK’s digital screens throughout the shopping centre.
Jason Cotterrell, country director at CBS Outdoor UK, said: “Lynx has worked with our Creative Solutions team to create a unique and memorable consumer experience at Westfield. We position Westfield as a platform for fame, because it offers advertisers the right audience in the right mindset, in the right (dwell-time) environment, the combination of which guarantees both interaction and conversation. Lynx are tapping into the fact that shopping is fast becoming a new entertainment channel and Westfield is at the forefront of this emerging trend.”
This activity forms part of a wider competition by Lynx to send a UK customer into space.
