Adobe appoints Mark Phibbs as vice president EMEA marketing

Adobe Systems Incorporated has revealed that Mark Phibbs has been appointed as vice president of the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) marketing offering.

Reporting to chief marketing officer Ann Lewnes, Phibbs will now be responsible for driving market awareness of Adobe’s solutions.

Phibbs joined Adobe in 2003 as marketing director for the Asia Pacific region; in 2009 he was given responsibility for managing Adobe’s global channel marketing strategy in addition to leading marketing across APAC.

Prior to working with Adobe Australian national Phibbs held a number of leadership roles at IBM and Microsoft, serving the company in Australia, Germany and China. His last role with Microsoft was as managing director, Hong Kong.

Of the appointment, Adobe EMEA president Mark Zablan, commented: “Mark Phibbs is a nine year veteran of Adobe and will bring incredible value to our EMEA clients and partners as he deeply understands how Adobe’s vision and strategy align to the industry needs. This move for Mark is a great opportunity for the two of us to work together in order to grow the EMEA Digital Media and Digital Marketing businesses and help meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
