To celebrate the 25th anniversary of ‘Metal Gear’ Japanese games publisher Konami has worked with digital design studio demodern to create a virtual interactive gift for fans of the game.

The ‘Metal Gear Art Studio’ allows fans of the game to present their creative talents to the rest of the world, acting as a public platform and a digital thank you for the game's loyal fanbase. The web app features the distinct artwork of the game's lead character designer with corresponding creative tools based pm the Japanese illustrator’s artistic style.

Once registering via their own Facebook or Twitter accounts users are given their own virtual drawing board completed with creative tools, where they can draw and save their favourite Metal Gear characters.

The app tools have been programmed to simulate the style of the popular illustrator to ensure users achieve the closest approximation of the Metal Gear characters. Users of the app can also follow the creation of other masterpieces online and chat to other fans and creators using a chat module. Users will also be able to share their Metal Gear Art Studio creations through social networking sites.

The Art Studio is currently like on all Konami websites, and every three weeks the games illustrator will pick a personal favourite from the entries received.
